OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Planet Bridges Foundation (PBF) invests in sustainable agriculture, livelihood improvement, ecotourism, and wildlife conservation in protected areas in western Uganda, including Bwindi National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.
Current Projects in Uganda
Conservation EducationPlanet Bridges is enhancing conservation efforts of the Bwindi-Mgahinga conservation area in Uganda through administering conservation education curriculum in primary schools. |
Agritourism in BwindiThe agritourism project in Uganda is creating linkages between local farmers and the growing gorilla tourism as a means to improve food security and household incomes in the Bwindi-Mgahinga conservation area. |
Climate change mitigationClimate change projects are primarily focused on mitigation of the adverse effects on climate change. Interventions aimed at climate change adaptation are also prioritized. |
We focus on investing in ideas that are scalable, innovative, and sustainable. We support projects that focus on wildlife conservation, livelihoods improvement, ecotourism, education, and sustainable agricultural in wildlife tourism dependent communities. SustainableCommunity Development
Our community development projects address gaps aligned with food security, ecotourism, income generation, primary education support, sustainable agriculture practices, microfinance, and community land use in Uganda.

We invest in projects that contribute to the protection of critical ecosystems, particularly national parks, wildlife reserves, and other vital ecological zones in the Africa region. We are currently soliciting funding to implement ecotourism and sustainable agriculture projects in Uganda

Our wildlife-based tourism interventions are supporting ecotourism and sustainable agriculture enterprises in southwestern Uganda through market access, product development, online engagement, profitability, and sustainability.
